WELCOME TO OUR TRACK & FIELD SECTION

 

We are relatively new to the Track & Field competition only joining the Southern men’s league (Division 4 South) in 2005.  We have also joined the Kent Vets league (Division 2) for both men & ladies.

 

The main differences between the two leagues are:-

 

Southern Mens Legue  

• Saturday  meetings (12-6pm)  
• All main events
• Men’s league only
• All ages  
• Higher competition

 

Vets League

• Fri/Mon evening meetings (6.45 -9pm)
• Men & Ladies over 35
• Age related races• selected events only

 

Our track & field summer club session is held Monday evenings from 7.15pm at Deangate track .  All members are welcome (both men & ladies) to attend and either follow a structured track training session or simply do your own - Note there is a track fee of £1 per runner .  Watch this space to find out the date these sessions will start this summer.

 

The track and field dates for 2010 are:

 

• April 23rd - Vets league Sutcliffe Park
• May 1st - Southern Newnham
• May 7th - Vets league Canterbury
• May 15th - Southern Sutton
• May 17th - Vets league Erith
• June 5th - Southern Thames valley Harriers
• June 14th - Vets league Black Lion
• June 28th - Vets league Ashford
• July 9th - Vets league Norman park
• July 10th - Southern Dartford (we are hosts)
• July 31st - Southern Luton
